Who Is JumpCart?

JumpCart is a personal, barcode scanning system designed and developed by JumpTechnologies. It makes web-based transactional sales simple, fast and easy. A small portable hand-held scanner has the ability to scan barcodes from many sources including catalogs, shelf labels and even product UPC codes. The electronic order is held in the scanner until it is connected to a USB connection to the desktop or lap top computer. The software automatically searches the internet (a high speed internet connection is required) for the distributor’s website and imports the scanned order directly into the internet shopping cart. From there, the consumer can instantly send the order to the distributor for fulfillment or they can add more products to the shopping cart or modify the order in any way they wish. Scan. Dock, Buy. Any product can have a unique JumpTech bar code assigned to it. The technology works with an existing integration with your QNet module. Through a small software application that is downloaded to the end users’ desk top, ordering any transactional product a distributor sells becomes an effective and streamlined procurement process for the consumer and an easy low-cost sale for the distributor.

What Are The Advanatages To Using JumpCart?

JumpCart provides a unique selling and marketing model for any type of transactional business product including office products, forms, labels, ad specialty products and even variable print products like business cards. Commercial print products can also be bar-coded for easy re-order if there are no changes. This is combined with a one purchase order creation within QNet to provide a powerful yet simple solution for ordering many products for many people in an office environment.

How Does It Work?

The consumer scans orders from an USSCo JumpTech catalog, customized bar coded labels, customize Catalog On Demand, bar coded order list or directly from the product’s UPC code label. One JumpCart license equates to one end user cost center. If you are servicing multiple cost centers within an account, each cost center needs its’ own unique scanner that’s assigned to that cost center.

Once the order has been captured by the scanner, the consumer attached to a USB connection and the order is loaded directly into the distributor’s website shopping cart.

How Do I Market JumpCart


JumpCart is best marketed in conjunction with ISC’s Procurement Process Management (PPM) marketing model. Guiding the customer through a Discovery Process, the distributor has an opportunity to focus and show significant soft cost savings for the end user’s transactional procurement process.

A web page can be developed for your current website that markets to JumpCart. Use the consumer video provided by JumpTech to show the product in use. Provide webpage content that markets to a feature-benefit presentation that ends with a call to action to have the end user schedule an appointment with the distributor. ISC can help you with this content.

Private branding JumpCart is also effective. Select a unique name for your JumpCart bar code scanning solution (e.g. JumpExpress, OrderExpress, etc.). Scanners can have small metallic labels attached to cover the JumpTech logo so they show your branding.

Once the solution is in place at the consumer site, office product JumpCart catalogs, customized bar coded catalogs and lists, shelf labels and even the product itself can be used as tools to easily scan bar-coded products to create an order.

What is Catalog On Demand (CoD?)

Catalog On Demand is created through a product called Private Data Editor (PDE) created by Object Publisher and custom integrated with JumpTechnology. When you subscribe to PDE, this will allow you access to this custom software module where professionally created bar coded catalogs can be produced. Once the template is created you can download the file in Adobe Acrobat format and have as many of the catalogs created as required.

How Much Does It Cost?

An unlimited annual license is $5,000 payable at one time. From a marketing budget perspective, that is $417/month. Capturing new sales of only $1,750/month at a 25% GP has already paid for itself and is now generating new margin dollars. There is an added benefit to reducing your operational costs for transactional sales which also adds to your P&L net profit.

Scanners cost $75 each and can be ordered through JumpTech.

A combined annual license for both CoD and an unlimited JumpCart license is $9,995.00 payable at one time. The sales hurdle is now $875/month or $3,500/ month of new business at a 25% GP. Both figures are very easily obtainable sales goals. Earlier annual license purchases have been grandfathered.

JumpTech Inventory Management Software (IMS) is an ASP-based (on a remote server) inventory management solution for the consumer. When your customer is looking for an inventory management solution for the company non-critical or non-core expenditures, JumpTech IMS is the solution. This product can also be private labeled.
